Power Vent vs Direct Vent
Power venting differs greatly from a direct vent system. Direct Vent is a passive system, in which the gases escape from the boiler through natural methods, rising above the cooler air below through the ventalation system put in place. Power venting, on the other hand, is a suction system that pulls the hot gases from the boiler out of the side of the house through a fan system. Power venting makes sure no hot gases go places they should not, giving the homeowner or business owner more flexability in the placement of their boiler systems.
