BETHEL, Me. (April 29, 2011) – Fourteen heating, plumbing and energy professionals completed a two-day wood pellet boiler system training session at Maine Energy Systems(MESYS). These technicians and energy professionals represented thirteen companies from Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont. With the completion of this training each are now certified to install OkoFEN wood pellet boilers systems in residential and commercial applications.

The OkoFEN wood pellet boiler system is the Northeast’s leading wood pellet boiler system, exclusively distributed by MESYS. "With recent increase in heating oil prices our wood pellet boiler training classes have been filled for the last several months," said Matt Bray, Sales Director of Maine Energy Systems. "I'm hearing from these technicians that homeowners are looking for an alternative to oil and the demand for centralized wood pellet heating systems is on the increase. I expect our monthly training classes to be full all summer." The two day comprehensive training includes overview of wood pellets, the combustion process of pellets, sizing and wiring of boilers, and cascade boiler configuration for commercial applications.
