MAINE ENERGY SYSTEMS PARTICATES IN NORTHEAST RENEWABLE BIOMASS CONFERENCE.

 

BETHEL, Me. (April 14, 2011) - This week Dutch Dresser and Bill Strauss of Maine Energy Systems, a wood pellet boiler distributor located in Bethel, Me, are moderators for two separate panel discussion at the Heating the Northeast with Renewable Biomass conference. The conference located in Manchester, NH will host over 800 biomass industry business people from all over New England, Europe and Canada.

Dresser will be the moderator for the "Pellet Quality Standards: The Key to a Successful Pellet Heating Industry" panel discussion. Speakers for this panel are Chris Wiberg, from Twin Ports Testing Labs in Wisconsin, Robert Rice from the University of Maine at Orono, Herbert Ortner CEO of OkoFEN from Niederkappel, Austria, and Steve Walker, from New England Wood Pellets on my panel. The focus of the conversation will be the newly redefined Pellet Fuels Institute standards.

Bill Strauss will be the moderator for "Sustainability: The Basis for a Future of Heating the Northeast with Biomass Fuels" Speakers for this panel discussion are Charles Levesque and Jennifer Hushaw, from Natural Resource Solutions in New Hampshire, Eric Kingsley, from Innovative Resource Solutions, Portland, ME, Thomas Buchholz and William Keeton of the University of Vermont, Scott Bagley and Harry Groot, from the Center for Cooperative Forest Enterprises and Allison Welde, Sustainable Forestry Initiative Inc., Washington, DC. The focus of the conversation will be on the sustainability of the wood supply.
