Maine Energy Systems is proud to offer fully automated home burner and boiler equipment for your new construction or as a replacement for your existing home oil burner system. These burner/ boiler systems are manufactured by Bosch Thermotechnologies, a world leading experts in boiler technology.  The systems are ASME certified and UL approved and are distributed and serviced only by Bosch/MESys trained and qualified contractors.

The Bosch/MESys boiler is available in several configurations (section numbers) ranging in BTU output from ~50,000 BTU/hr to ~100,000 BTU/hr.  Because the modulating burners on these boilers keep boiler water temperatures continually at the desired threshold, these units are sized differently than their oil burning counterparts. These recommends are from Lou Vorsteveld, President and CEO of Bosch Thermotechnologies North America:

"Based on information and experience from Sweden, I would suggest the following guidelines in boiler selection/sizing:

4 section boiler: Replace boiler up to 100,000 Btu/hr output

6 section boiler: Replace boilers up to 130,000 – 150,000 Btu/hr. 

Typically boilers have been greatly oversized in the past and getting actual and accurate information regarding actual boiler run time during extremely cold weather is vital in properly sizing boilers."

The boiler length on these units ranges from 16 ½” to 36” while the firebox is 13 ½” X 17 ¼” in section on all configurations with depths ranging from 13 ¾” to 33 ½”.  

The pellet burner is manufactured by Janfire the producer of the world’s most reliable pellet burners. It has the longest maintenance cycle of any pellet burner available anywhere. It can run continually for six months with no attention whatever assuming adequate space for ash storage. Using premium or super premium pellets ash production is very small, typically requiring removal of the powdery ash only two or three times a year. The ash is composed primarily of minerals left behind when the wood burns and is a fine nutrient for gardens and lawns.
